West Yorkshire Steel are delighted to introduce our newly revitalised and greatly updated website. We went for a fresh, clean design and sought to show our new logo off to the web world! The site has been redeveloped to provide comprehensive information on a wide range of special steel grades and specifications.
www.westyorkssteel.com was first published in 1996. Understanding the possibilities of the World Wide Web is one reason why we were one of the first UK steel stockholders to promote ourselves online. Much has changed on the web since then, but we have constantly maintained our site, updating whenever necessary to provide our customers with comprehensive information and great online support on our steel specifications.
What Are Steel Specifications?
In the late nineteenth and early twentieth century steel pioneers in the UK, such as Sir Robert Hadfield, Harry Brearley, Robert Mushet researched, developed and introduced the world to special steel grades. Over the last hundred years many thousands more grades have been published to British and International standards. It is impossible for any steel stockholder to supply the whole range of this array of grades. West Yorkshire Steel supply a wide range of special steels in many shapes and sizes, the search facility on our website allows you to find the most common specifications we supply. Our experience and knowledge combined with access to a database of steel grades enables West Yorkshire Steel to provide help and advice on those hard to find steel specifications.
How Fast Is Our UK Delivery?
Over the years our reputation for quality and service has spread wide and far. For our valued UK customers we endeavour to quote delivery times that are honest and reliable. Orders are prepared for despatch with care taken to package, label and provide all the relevant paperwork required by the customer. Orders will be delivered either by our own transport or through a reputable and recognised UK courier. Once an order is ready, for the vast majority of our customers their order will arrive the very next day. If you are located within a very remote area of the UK, this can extend to 2 to 3 days, but do call to check on our average delivery times to your area if in doubt. We deliver to anywhere in the UK at a cost of only £25.00.
Do We Ship Overseas?
Goods for shipment outside the UK will be carefully prepared for export, with consideration given to any special packaging requests such as requirements for heat treated pallets or wooden packing cases. Orders are offered ex our work, or prices can be obtained for worldwide freighting.
