BS1452 Grade 260 Cast Iron stockholders and suppliers, delivering to the whole of the UK. Cast iron bar BS1452 Grade 260 is continuous cast and supplied in rounds and flats. With its fine grain structure BS1452 Grade 260 can be machined to achieve a good polished surface finish and is suitable for copper or chromium plating. As a continuous cast iron bar grade BS1452 Grade 260 has a fine grain structure, combined with the fine graphite flake size and dense homogeneous structure.

Applications

BS1452 Grade 260 is suited for applications requiring good wearing characteristics and when components require a combination of strength and wear resistance superior to those of other softer cast iron grades. Used widely in the plastics and glass industries BS1452 Grade 260 typical applications include pistons, moulds, dies, bearings, cams, bushes and gears.
