Other characteristics are corrosion resistance, machineability and weldability. Common grades supplied include 6082, 5083, 7075 and 2014.

Aluminium tooling plate is also available. As a cast tooling plate it is ideally suited for applications such as fixtures, bedplates and other tool related components.
