Aluminium Bronze is characterised by its excellent resistance to corrosion in sea water and its high tensile strength which is typically in excess of 650N/mm². Aluminium bronzes are often used in applications where their resistance to corrosion makes them prefereable to other engineering metals. It also offers good resistance to abrasion.
