West Yorkshire steel supports the aim of the Conflict Minerals Rules pursuant to Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (“Conflict Mineral Rules”). We endeavour to ensure compliance with the legislation and the use of Conflict Minerals.
West Yorkshire Steel endeavour to refrain from purchasing any steels or materials that contain Conflict Minerals from the Democratic Republic of Congo or adjoining countries.
West Yorkshire Steel is committed to work continually in a socially, economically and environmentally responsible manner by adopting a policy aimed at discouraging the purchase of DCR Conflict Minerals which revenue may be used to finance or support, both directly or indirectly, armed forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo or in neighbouring countries, regardless of their country of origin.
Suppliers must be able to demonstrate compliance with this Policy at the request and satisfaction of West Yorkshire Steel. West Yorkshire Steel will conduct internal verification of product supply chains to evaluate and address risks of conflict minerals rules.
